Add-on - The ability to buy additional chips while a poker game or tournament is in progress.
All-in - To bet all of the chips that you have.
All or Nothing - The Keno ticket that only pays off if all of the selected numbers or drawn or if NONE of them are drawn.
Ante - The initial compulsory bet before you receive your cards in Casino Stud Poker.
Bankroll - The amount of money you have on hand to fund your online gambling session.
Betting Limits - The minimum and maximum amounts of money that a casino will allow a player can wager on one bet. You can not wager less than the minimum or more than the maximum.

Catch - To catch a number means that one of the selected numbers on your Keno ticket has been drawn.
Doubling Down - A betting option in blackjack where the player's opening two-card hand is turned face up and player's original wager is doubled. The player is then dealt one additional card only, to complete the hand. In the event that the player beats the dealer's hand or the dealer busts, then the player wins twice the amount of their bet. If the player loses, then the player loses twice the amount of the bet.
Flat Betting - A manner of betting where the same amount is always bet by a player and never raised or lowered
High Roller - A player that wagers big bets.
Natural - In blackjack, a natural is a two-card hand of twenty one points. In baccarat a natural is a two-card total of eight or nine.
Payline - The visible line on a slot machine window that tells where the symbols on each reel must line up. Slot machines can have as many as 20 paylines, although most only have two or three.
Push - A poker hand that is tied between the player and the dealer.
Rake - The money that the casino charges for each hand of poker. It is usually a percentage (5% - 10%) that is taken from the pot after each round.
Shill - A person who actively sits in on games in live casinos and helps fill empty seats until more paying customers can join in.
Snake Eyes - When you roll a two in a game of craps.
Wild Card - A joker or other card that can be used as any other card to complete your hand in card games. |
